Summer is now upon us and at some point we hope you will be enjoying a well earned holiday. This edition summarises the summer SDGs, LSDA projects and other good news stories.
Good practice
The CoVE database of good and interesting practice is now available on the LSDA CoVE website. Examples from this term include increased collaboration with the Sector Skills Councils, other providers, employers and schools.

Specialist Development Groups
During the summer term CoVEs had the opportunity to take part in the LSC consultation on the future format and structure of the SDGs. As the SSCs develop overlap between some sectors is becoming more obvious which led to the piloting of additional cross sector SDGs.

WorldSkills competition
CoVE students were among the medal winners at the WorldSkills competition in Helsinki, Finland in May 2005. The UK team came 12th.
Other award winning CoVEs
Liverpool Community College is awarded a grade 1. Brunel Training Group recognised for their successful mobile units. ITS Training Services share good practice with school teachers and students.
