Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE)
The Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) Programme is sponsored and implemented by the Learning and Skills Council.
The Learning and Skills Network (LSN) are working in partnership with the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) to support the CoVE programme
By March 2006 it is expected that there will be a network of 400 CoVE's across post 16 providers. The shape of the network has been determined on the basis of skills priorities through consultation with local Learning and Skills Councils, Regional Development Agencies (RDAs), the Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA) and Sector Skills Councils (SSCs).
The Learning and Skills Network (LSN) run a support programme for providers and the LSC.
