Disability Discrimination Act and Work Based Learning
The Disability Discrimination Act: improving work based learning provision for people with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities (RC 724b)
The project 'Improving work-based learning for people with learning difficulties and / or learning disabilities' is coming to its conclusion. There have been four overlapping phases of work:
- Two formative seminars one each in London and Manchester
- Nineteen case study research projects at WBL provider sites across the country
- Making the DVD 'Proper Hard Work' featuring learners talking about their experiences in WBL and the reasonable adjustments that their employers and WBL providers have made that enable them to achieve their learning and career goals. The DVD and accompanying CD-ROM will be distributed to all WBL providers free of charge. Copies are also available from Learning and Skills Network (LSN).
- Project report to appear on this web page in Spring 2006
