Summary: How can providers respond to the perpetual call for improvement of learner outcomes? One response is to adopt an action research approach - it is closely aligned to quality improvement and allows practitioners to work through their problems and test out changes to bring about the desired improvment. This report details a number of successful action research projects that have secured improvements to learner outcomes. Not only that, they have managed to sustain the effort, be it internally across the organisation or by enthusing and persuading others that positive change is possible.
