Summary: This project researched views about the learning of 14-16 year old students in colleges, from the learners themselves, their lecturers and their teachers. The aims of the research were to gauge the capacity of the teachers and their institutions to meet the needs of younger learners - and as far as the project team can tell, this is the only study so far attempted which looks in the round at the subject from the perspectives of institutions, teachers and, most importantly, of learners themselves.
