Summary: In theory, vocational progression routes exist in most occupational areas from pre-NVQ Level 1 to foundation degree and beyond. The London CoVE network provides the key to driving up vocational progression. This project aims to explore the changes brought about by London-based CoVEs in two occupational areas and the practical reality for the city’s vocational learners in these two sectors - building crafts and hospitality.
