Research

The Research and Evaluation Department of LSN conducts educational research for policy makers and practitioners – reviewing new and current learning methods, trends, practices, and new technologies as well as evaluating learners’ needs in post-compulsory education and training with the intention of quality improvement.

We have five specialist research centres and an evaluation unit, whose areas of expertise include participation, personalisation, e-learning, the needs of the learner, organisation of the sector, quantitative analysis and the post-14 curriculum. We aim to carry out research that addresses issues across the sector, and we carry out commissioned projects in areas of immediate need.

All of our research reports are available free of charge from this website.
