This scoping study [Linked to LSRC459 (WP2)] will consider the rationale, scope and design of a research investigation into the learning and teaching relationships manifest in mixed groups of young people and adults. The study will include a national consultative seminar to test preliminary findings. Methods include a literature search and analysis of sources-both substantive (teaching and learning of young people and adults in post-compulsory education and training and methodological (observational studies in classrooms, qualitative and quantitative.
