This study aims to inform the debate on whether to segregate age groups in post-16 education by looking at the extent, nature, costs and benefits of age mixing in FE colleges.

Summary:

A major study of learning relationships in further education settings shared by young people and adults. The pros and cons of mixed age and age segregated learning have come to the fore following the recent re-organisation of the further education system.
